City Leader's Preservation Report Card
All city leaders start out their tenure on the Sacramento City Council with an “A” from Preservation Sacramento. This Preservation Grade is worth 100 Preservation Points. With each council vote that includes preservation benefits, City Leaders gain 10 Preservation Points; however, with each vote that causes impacts to historic resources or the city’s historic preservation program, City Leaders lose 10 points. For preservation neutral projects, City Leaders neither gain nor lose Preservation Points from their Preservation Grade. Our Preservation Report Card grade begins in January 2015. Every City Leader started out 2015 with an “A”. Below are the current grades. If you want your Council Member or the Mayor to improve their Preservation Grade, write them and let them know, or contact Preservation Sacramento, and we’ll be glad to pass along your comment.
