Volunteer to help organize events, review development projects, conduct historic building research, and support a range of other opportunities.

Find Out How

The Preservation Sacramento Board of Directors includes a wide range of experience and expertise in historic preservation and community development. The Board has been involved in community activism for over 40 years and is currently looking for volunteers who are committed to the organization's mission.

The Preservation Sacramento Board of Directors is a volunteer Board with no paid staff.  The Board comprises both historic preservation professionals and also includes local community members with an interest in creating sustainable neighborhoods through historic preservation planning.

The Board of Directors has several subcommittees that report back to the larger board and make recommendations.  There are also several Board Members who work largely on their own to manage different aspects of the organization.  All subcommittees are open to our members to volunteer and help with aspects of the organization where they have an interest or a particular skill.  Because Preservation Sacramento uses all donations and membership dues toward either day-to-day operations or sponsoring special preservation projects and events, we rely on volunteers to do the work of paid staff.  If you are interested in volunteering, please fill out the form below. If you have an idea where you could help please indicate that on the form, and our volunteer coordinator will get back to you with opportunities.

Preservation Sacramento is dedicated to protecting Sacramento’s historic neighborhoods and encouraging quality urban design through advocacy, outreach, and activism.
